The record is named after the ensemble, composed on stage by seven elements and is probably the most rock of their discography. Bill Callahan - Resuscitate! (Full Album) 2024. Bill Callahan, singer-songwriter from Silver Spring, Maryland, has released Resuscitate! a live album, recorded at the Thalia Hall in Chicago in March 2023. Includes mostly tracks from YTILAER, Bill’s latest studio album but also "Keep Some Steady Friends Around" from Rain on Lens (2001), when the American singer-songwriter called himself Smog, "Drover" from Apocalypse (2011) and "Pigeons" from Gold Record (2020). Callahan is accompanied by Matt Kinsey on guitar, Jim White on drums, Dustin Laurenzi on sax, multi-instrumentalist Joshua Abrams and Lisa Alvarado on harmonium. MJ Lenderman - Manning Fireworks (Full Album) 2024. MJ Lenderman, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Asheville, North Carolina, has released his third and new album for the prestigious ANTI- Records. The passion for music is born in the family: his father plays the guitar, his mother the clarinet, his three sisters sing and his paternal great-grandfather was the saxophonist Charlie Ventura, already with Gene Krupa and a young Charlie Parker. Lenderman also plays with Wednesday, the band led by his girlfriend Karly Hartzman, among the best in the indie rock scene. Mike Campbell And The Dirty Knobs - Vagabonds, Virgins & Misfits (Full Album) 2024. Vagabonds, Virgins & Misfits, the third album by Mike Campbell and the Dirty Knobs, Campbell, guitarist Chris Holt, bassist Lance Morrison and drummer Matt Laug have made the most expansive and dynamic album of the Dirty Knobs' one-of-a-kind ride: founded in 2000 by the leader as a writing and club-date project outside the Heartbreakers; finally getting on record with 2020's Wreckless Abandon and 2022's External Combustion, both made with Drakoulias. Those LPs, Campbell says, were the Dirty Knobs "trying to find our way as a rock & roll band. Now it's down to great songs, the depth in the lyrics and chords." He recalls something Petty once told him: "Tom said, 'I love the English language. There's so much you can do with it.' I'm discovering that too. Looking for rhyme schemes, the right words – at first, it was a struggle. "Now that door has opened," he says. "I've turned a corner" on Vagabonds, Virgins & Misfits.
