Yellow Sands; Or- Eight Tales of Pixie Mischief is the second record by Cries for Colour, the recording project of Canadian drummer, songwriter and producer Quinn Downton. Is an eclectic psychedelic rock album with shades of Sigur Ros-esque spacious prog and Björk's brand of ethereal electronica; lush and wistful songcraft a la Weyes Blood punctuates the quieter moments. Every song on the album features Colin Edwin—fretless bassist and sub-frequency guru best known for his nearly twenty years of work in UK cult rock band Porcupine Tree. Fantastic Negrito - Son of a Broken Man (Full Album) 2024. The new album is “Fantastic Negrito’s most personal thus far, exploring family, deception and the human desire to hide the true self as he dives deep into one of the oldest conflicts in human history, the struggle between father and son,” according to a news release. Porridge Radio, one of the most popular bands in the new British post-punk scene, has release Clouds In The Sky They Will Always Be There For Me. It’s the fourth album and comes two years from Waterslide, Diving Board, Ladder to the Sky and four from Every Bad, candidate for the 2021 Mercury Prize. Field Music - Limits of Language (Full Album) 2024. Brothers David and Peter Brewis, from Sunderland, England, are Field Music and have released, in their studio, the new and ninth album, Limits Of Language. Always kind and helpful with their fans, they are skilled musicians, multi-instrumentalists and out of the pop clichè. Their compositions shine for the refinement of the arrangements and the originality of the musical phrase. As in the other works of the band there is a need for a conscious and involved listening, not just the first contact, but the slow discovery of their work gives great satisfaction. As for the lyrics, almost all songs talk about what surrounds us and is collapsing. Limits Of Language is a perfect and out-of-fashion record, so you’ll love it. We’re sure! Goat - Goat (Full Album) 2024. Goat, the masked Swedish band from Korpilombolo, in the Norrbotten County, the northernmost land of the Scandinavian country, has released its sixth studio album. The record is named after the ensemble, composed on stage by seven elements and is probably the most rock of their discography. Of course psychedelia is the characteristic stylistic figure of music, next to it stands the mixture and fusion between styles and in this recording we find fascinating afro-funk influences and not only. Bill Callahan - Resuscitate! (Full Album) 2024. Bill Callahan, singer-songwriter from Silver Spring, Maryland, has released Resuscitate! a live album, recorded at the Thalia Hall in Chicago in March 2023. Includes mostly tracks from YTILAER, Bill’s latest studio album but also "Keep Some Steady Friends Around" from Rain on Lens (2001), when the American singer-songwriter called himself Smog, "Drover" from Apocalypse (2011) and "Pigeons" from Gold Record (2020). Callahan is accompanied by Matt Kinsey on guitar, Jim White on drums, Dustin Laurenzi on sax, multi-instrumentalist Joshua Abrams and Lisa Alvarado on harmonium. Bright Eyes, the indie rock band founded by singer-songwriter and guitarist Conor Oberst from Omaha, Nebraska, has released its eleventh album Five Dice, All Threes.
